LAURA MANZ

Laura studied contemporary dance and dance pedagogics at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich and additionally she got a certificate as pilates-matwork trainer according to BASI® Pilates. Before that she graduated in civil engineering (B.Eng.). As a young girl Laura started taking ballet classes of the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and succesfully completed several exams there.

Up to now she was dancing in projects at the theater “Kammerspiele“ and the “Bayerische Staatsoper” in Munich, worked at the “Staatstheater Darmstadt” and in video-projects. During her education she worked with choreographers such as Peter Mika, Caroline Finn and Minka-Marie Heiß, danced several times at Gasteig in Munich as well as at “Festspielhaus” in Baden-Baden. With the company of “Gärtnerplatztheater” under the direction of Matteo Carvone she was part of the production „Orgel & Tanz Faustsymphonie nach Franz Liszt“ at Philharmonie München.

At the moment Laura lives in Munich and works freelance-based on different projects. Her dance and pilates classes are full of joy and passion for moving the body in a fluent way.

Laura hat in München ihre Ausbildung zur zeitgenössischen Tänzerin und Tanzpädagogin an der Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance absolviert. Danach folgte die Ausbildung zur Pilates-Matten Trainerin nach BASI®. Zuvor schloss sie ihr Bachelor Bauingenieurstudium ab (B.Eng.).

Bereits als junges Mädchen nahm sie klassischen Ballettunterricht nach der Royal Academy of Dance und legte dort zahlreiche Prüfungen ab. Bisher tanzte sie in Projekten an den Kammerspielen und der Bayerischen Staatsoper in München, am Staatstheater in Darmstadt und in Videoprojekten. Während ihrer Ausbildung arbeitete sie mit Choreographen wie z.B. Peter Mika, Caroline Finn und Minka-Marie Heiß zusammen, tanzte bei „Festival Junger Tanz“ und „Licensed to Dance“ im Gasteig sowie im Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden. Mit Matteo Carvone und dem Gärtnerplatztheater war sie Teil der Produktion „Orgel & Tanz Faustsymphonie nach FranzLiszt“ in der Philharmonie in München.

Momentan wohnt und arbeitet Laura freiberuflich in München an verschiedenen Projekten. Sie vermittelt mit Leidenschaft Ihre Freude und Begeisterung an Bewegung in ihrem Tanz und Pilates-Unterricht.
